GENERAL INFORMATION
Saithe which comes from Whiting family has a
flavour which appeals to Turkish taste. Its name is known in Turkey with its
English name and its other name is “Coal Fish”. This fish which is caught from
the deep waters of Atlantic Ocean and reaches to our tables is prepared as
fillets after being caught and frozen. It contains B12 Vitamin, Selenium
andhigh proteins. Its meat is soft and white, very delicious.
Cooking suggestions: Due to
low fat content,to pan or steamed highly recommended.
